KOTA BELUD: A one-day exposition on Tertiary Education, Skills and Careers will be held at Dewan Tun Said, here on November 10, starting from 8 am.
Organised by Yayasan Kota Belud, a non-profit non-governmental organisation, the expo is meant to bring colleges and institutions of higher learning, skills training centres as well as prospective employers to meet up with job seekers and those keen on furthering their education.
“We opted for this three-in-one expo so as to make full use of the event to give our fifth and sixth formers, school leavers and job seekers an avenue to come and get the necessary information all at one place.
“This is the perfect opportunity for our youths to come to this expo as otherwise they may have to source information elsewhere or even head to the state capital and it would be a costly affair for them,” said Yayasan Kota Belud Chairman, Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak in a statement, here Thursday.
Salleh said he was appreciative of the support given by the Ministry of Resource Development and Information Technology, especially deputy Chief Minister Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, who has endorsed the event with tacit backing through the respective agencies that come under the ministry’s portfolio. – Bernama
