KENINGAU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Liawan Division lodged a police report at the district police headquarters here yesterday on media reports of a Pakistani in possession of a high quality MyKad.
Party divisional secretary Claudeus Stanislaus Kinsik representing party head Datuk Jake Jikulin Nointin and accompanied by several leaders from the division, made the report at 11.41am.
In his police report, he called on the police to investigate a local newspaper report (not the Borneo Post) on ‘Dakwaan Diskriminasi Pemberian Mykad’, dated October 29 and website blog titled, ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Era Hishamuddin?’.
He claimed that a Pakistani known as Isanullah from Kampung Masjid Keningau, possessed a high quality MyKad bearing number 930105-76-5095.
“The people from Kampung Masjid do not recognize this person (Insanullah). This has been confirmed by Kampung Masjid Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) chairman Haji Rahmat Haji Saman and Umno branch head Rimin Haji Saman who also made a police report regarding this matter,” he said.
Kinsik claimed that the Pakistani originally had a Visit Pass bearing number 15011-3358072-1, from Buner, Pakistan and got his Malaysian citizenship in less than a year after entering the country using a social visit pass.
He questioned what law was applied to grant Malaysian citizenship to the Pakistani in such a short time without going through the screening.
He said PBS Liawan made reports to the police, the National Registration Department, Home Ministry and the Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) to investigate the allegation.
“PBS Liawan strongly condemns the giving of MyKads to foreigners from neighbouring countries, Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Pakistan and the others without going through the proper procedures, and individuals involved in granting the MyKads be brought to court for trial,” he said.
