BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A Group of preschool students from Tumpuan Telisai Primary School (SRTT) accompanied by three teachers recently visited the Meragang Marine Biodiversity Centre, Fisheries Department, Borneo Bulletin reported.
The aim of the visit was to educate the students on the biodiversity of life and the endangered species of turtles in the Sultanate. The visit was also part of the “out-of-the-box” teaching and learning for the student.
During the visit, a briefing was delivered on the various conservation efforts and programmes made by the centre since its establishments in 1998 and officially launched on April 11, 2000.
The cense was built to promote public awareness on conservation programmes and management of marine biodiversity in the country as well as a rehabilitation and treatment services for marine life that get caught or discovered.
