During the meeting Lo, who was with seven other committee members, extended an invitation to Pairin to grace IEM Sabah 36th annual dinner here on December 1.

“It is timely to have a training centre as this is in line with one of the 12 NKEAs of the Government Transformation Program on human capital development especially for local Sabahans,” said Lo.

He conveyed IEM Sabah’s appeal to the government to ensure the participation of local engineering firms in the oil and gas industry.

Lo said the Board of Engineers Malaysia had already made amendments to the Registration of Engineers Act to accommodate the liberalization of professional engineering services.
