SIBU: A man in his 40s was shot in the back at a coffee shop in Pahlawan at 11.50am today, while his wife was critically injured in the head by stray pellets.
The man, known as Ah Kang, and his wife were having a meal together with three other friends when a car pulled up outside the coffee shop and one shot was fired.
Stray pellets also slightly injured a female friend on her body.
The wife, who was in critical condition, received treatment at a medical specialist centre but later died.
Police are investigating.
