F&N launches sports and fitness programme for staff

KUCHING: Soft drinks manufacturer F&N has launched an innovative programme for it’s employees to keep them fit and healthy via a specially designed course that combines sports and recreation.

The programme, called “Health Wellness Programme” was launched last September. The programme was introduced by the company in line with its effort to provide what the company calls “Work, Life and Balance” for their employees throughout the nation.

“This programme was introduced by the company nationwide. Participants who lose the most Body Mass Index (BMI) after following the programme will receive cash prizes from the Company,” commented F&N Sarawak human resources manager Felicia Liew.

She continued that the company is concerned of the health and fitness of its employees. F&N want their employees to stay fit at all times and be happy.

“The wellness of the employees of our organisation is important as it too attributes to ensure the productivity and sustainability of the organisation. The creation of health awareness and giving work life balance to them is our priority,” Liew pointed out.

“As for now, there are over three hundreds of our employees participating in the programme. We welcome more to join up and participate in this programme,” she revealed.

Liew revealed that yoga and dance are one of the activities included in the programme. Experienced yoga personality Alice Chieng is tasked to lead the programme.

“There are three main keys to fitness; flexibility, strength and endurance. Yoga simply an excellent holistic approach to all that,” said Chieng.

Apart from that, she revealed that yoga poses to help strengthen and tone muscles.

“Apart from the yoga, an incorporated Zumba-styled dance (which is also a mixed of dance steps) helps improve heart-pumping cardiovascular to add a little pinch of fun for those who registered for the programme,” added Chieng.

Chieng opine that the whole sequence will certainly help them to achieve a leaner body and better health. There will be lots of fun too.

As for now F&N will continue to host more healthy activities in the future. It is always in their believe that a good organisation runs well with good health and happiness.
