DST district tour a big hit in Tutong

TUTONG : The DST District Tour came to an end yesterday in the Tutong District with great response from members of the public with the huge selection of fun and challenging activities during the tour roadshow, Borneo Bulletin reported.

Also present was the Chief Executive Officer, of DST, Idris T Vasi to give away prizes to three lucky winners yesterday.

Ernie Ermawati binti Mohd Emran won the first prize – a Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 handset -while the second prize winner, Dk Nisa walked away with an Easi Starter Pack and a B$100 Easi Recharge Card and third-placed winner, Dyg Hjh Latifah binti Hj Mohamad won herself a B$100 DST Voucher.

The district tour acted as a teaser for the upcoming two-day treasure-hunt-like- challenge – DST Dare – which will be held at Jerudong Park on December land 2.

The exhilarating event will offer participants various challenges of wits, strategy, skills and puzzle-solving competitions where contestants will have the chance to bring home a grand prize of a Hyundai i30.

Dona Eldeyana Johan, Head of New Market Development, DST said, “This three-day event will bring in more thrilling and exciting activities. This year, DST Carnival brings the theme ‘Sports and Lifestyle’ in reliving its DST Dare Challenge, a two-day ‘treasure-hunt’-like adventure activity that will take place at the Jerudong Park Playground. We raise the bar this year with DST Dare Challenge by winning a brand new Hyundai i30.

“Participants can simply join by gathering a group of four, with a registration fee of $60 per team. So, come and join the fun this coming school holidays and bring your friends and families to our exciting carnival event.”

She also emphasised that the DST Dare Challenge might require participants to be mentally and physically prepared as it has been organised to stretch the limit of their endurance, mind-boggling puzzles to test their wits and to conquer various obstacles. Among activities held at the DST Carnival are the DST Getfit Crossfit Challenge and a Masterchef Competition as well as giving opportunities to local aspiring singer to present their talents live onstage on ‘UM Acoustic session Live’.

Dona Eldeyana Johan also promised that this year’s carnival will also comprise the long-awaited Grand Cash Bonanza Prizes announcement with cash prizes of B$15,000 for Prima and $10,000 for Easi.

There will also be a new product launching in conjunction with the DST Carnival, along with bundled promotions among the various games and activities set out for the public to participate, win prizes and simply have fun.

She also said that clues will be distributed across the various DST partners and DST branches in Brunei-Muara on the first day of the start of the DST Dare Challenge and the physical challenge (finale) will be held at the Jerudong Park Playground on December 2.

Completed forms can be sent to DST HQ from 2pm to 5pm [Monday to Friday only]. Registration will close on November 2 or once 200 teams have been registered; whichever comes first. Registration fee is B$60 per team.
