TUARAN: Trouble-makers will be evicted from the People’s Housing Program (PPR), warned Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Hj Hajiji Hj Noor.

Urging the residents of the 2,100 units of the Sri Rugading PPR to live in peace and harmony, he said they should consider themselves lucky to be selected to stay in a modern and comfortable government housing programme at a very low rental.

They should therefore know how to be thankful and not be easily influenced by irresponsible elements, he said in his speech at a mass circumcision ceremony yesterday for 35 boys of Taman Sri Rugading PPR here.

The ceremony was jointly organised by the National Unity and Integration Department, the housing scheme’s Rukun Tetangga (voluntary patrol) and the mosque committee.

Hajiji, who is also Sulaman assemblyman, praised the department for organising the event, saying that it is important to instil good and religious values in the young.
