Rajagobal positive over Tengku Abdullah’s criticism of national squad

KUALA LUMPUR: Head coach Datuk K. Rajagobal described the criticism of the national squad by Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) vice-president Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah as something positive.

He said criticism from Tengku Abdullah has fired him up and will make thorough preparation for AFF Suzuki Cup tournament here starting November 23.

“The criticism does not interfere with my preparation of the squad. I have been through such a situation before. I know what I am doing.

“National team manager (Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal) is aware of what I do. I think we are on the right track,” he told reporters after the launch of the new Malaysian team jersey by Nike Malaysia at Wisma FAM, here Monday.

Tengku Abdullah yesterday criticised the national squad for losing friendly matches against Vietnam (0-1) and Thailand (0-2) earlier this month. — BERNAMA
