KUCHING: The second day of the ongoing second South East Asia Harley Owners’ Group (SEA HOG) Sarawak tour will take the bikers to local places of interest including Semengok Orang Utan Sanctuary, Annah Rais Longhouse and if weather permits, the world famed Bako National Park.
The 265 riders from 14 countries including host Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Europe and the USA will head for the destinations starting 8 am today and travelling on 126 high powered motorcycles.
City folks by now are all aware of the bikers’ group presence who have been in Kuching since Nov 14 for the much awaited road tour which will cover a distance of over 2,700 km on two wheels.
But then again, the charity auction of the pricey 110th Anniversary edition of Harley Davidson Electra Glide® Ultra Limited motorcycle will become the limelight of today’s tour itinerary.
The charity auction will be held at Kuching Civic Centre tonight during dinner jointly hosted by KTS Group and Asia Tourism Alliance.
Courtesy of Naza Prestige Bikes Sdn Bhd, the retail value worth of the motorcycle is RM256,000 and it comes fully-loaded for those who dreams of owning the dream machine.
The motorcycle was unveiled by state’s Assistant Minister for Tourism, Datuk Talib Zulpilip during the welcoming dinner held last night.
According to chairman of SEA HOG Sarawak Rally organising committee, Choo Kai Mun the proceeds from the sale will be distributed to charitable organisations to be announced by the minister during the dinner.
Based in Milwaukee, USA, Harley-Davidson® is commemorating its 110 years of classic motorcycles next year has produced in limited quantity, the 110th Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson® motorcycles which provide high-powered motorcycles enthusiasts the opportunity to own and ride on a piece of motorcycle history.
