Association to hold two day camp for Wushu exponents

MIRI: Miri Association (MWA) will be organising a two day camp at one of a leading tropical resort here from Nov 21 to 22 as they continued to strive for the quality of their member’s performances.

According to MWA Chief Instructor, Master Tiong Ching Chiong, the camp is aim to further improve the skills of its members and will be introducing the latest International Compulsory Wushu routines to the participants.

“There will be more than 70 participants taking part in this camp. It is also part of our additional training for them,” he said when contacted by The Borneo Post yesterday.

Meanwhile, 14 participants have been selected by MWA to represent the district in the upcoming Kuala Lumpur Wushu tournament held from Dec 12 to 14.

Tiong added that the camp will also benefit its participants through knowledge-sharing and foster better relationship between members

“We hope our team will deliver their best and make the state, especially Mirians proud,” he said.
