BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Acting Director of Youth and Sports, Hj Mohd Zamri bin Dato Paduka Hj Hamdani, yesterday received a courtesy call from a delegation of six members of the All China Youth Federation (ACYF), led by Chen Guanghao, Deputy Secretary-General of ACYF, held at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Borneo Bulletin reported.
The delegation is in the country for a two-day visit.
Aside from the courtesy call, the ACYF delegation also had the opportunity to attend a briefing by Mohd Amirul Syazmie Ibrahim, a Youth and Sports Officer from the Youth and Sports Department, regarding the roles and responsibilities of the department in monitoring the progress of youth associations and volunteers.
The Brunei Youth Council (Majlis Belia Brunei) also presented their background information and responsibilities, progress and activities of youth associations in Brunei, delivered by Zefri Arief bin Hj Mohd Zain Arief.
The ACYF delegation’s visit was in conjunction with the diplomatic relations between Brunei and China, as well as to discuss youth activities that are suitable in the field of culture, leadership, volunteerism, entrepreneurship and sports in the near future.
