Louis is the first from Kuching and the fourth in Sarawak to become an international judge like Chong Yap Lee, Liaw Leong Eng and Chong Yap Jin himself.

An elated Louis said the accreditation would make him more confident to become a member of the judging panel for next year’s Asian Championship in Macau and the 2014 world event in Russia.

“ I won’t be able to judge at this year’s international championship as entry for new judges has been closed but I will be invited as official observer and to me it is a great honour even though only as an observer,” he enthused.

Meanwhile, Kalamunda Archery Club Perth members Bob Willis and spouse Mariam Willis from Western Australia had commended the judges during the recent 8th Sarawak Indoor Archery Championship.

“The organiser had been excellent and the judges led by Louis had set a very high standard of professional judging and next year Perth’s archers are invited to the championship next year, I am sure more would love to come,” Willis complimented.

For the record, Mariam Willis won the gold medal in Women’s Individual Compound Bow accumulating 528 points beating Suryani Effendy who scored 480 points for silver and Fazira Desa bronze with 426 points.
