KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) was not created just for the general election nor was it for fanciful participation in politics.

Its deputy president Amde Sidik in disclosing this said that as far as the party is concerned, its members know their directions, what to do and what to expect in facing their opponents.

“Very fluid in some areas, yes, none must confuse, it does not matter whether we have candidate at the moment for that particular area or not, we shall do our work in a similar way, we help and inspire each other, maintain the discipline.

“People are watching what differences we have compared with other parties,” he said during the South Zone meeting held at the SAPP Beaufort’s Office, recently.

The SAPP Southern Zone comprises eight states areas, namely Kawang, Pantai Manis, Bongawan, Membakut, Kuala Penyu, Klias, Lumadan and Sindumin, whilst the parliamentary areas are Papar, Kimanis, Beaufort and Sipitang.

He added that their modesty may be their winning formula.

“For example, the way we smile, the way we talk and explain, the way we present ourselves, even the way we dress up are being scrutinised by people.

“So far people like our presentation, SAPP’s struggle is for the people and for the State, there is no more truth than this, easy for people to understand,” he said.

Among the Supreme Council members who attended the meeting were Edward Dagul who is also SAPP Youth chief, Youth deputy chief Jamain Sarudin, Bongawan (Central Liaison Committee) CLC chief Jaafar Ismail and the rest of CLC chiefs from their respective constituencies.
