MUKAH: The doubles team of Kenny Rosli and Nelson Christopher smashed their way to emerge champion in a pre-Christmas badminton competition recently and brought home RM300 cash and a hamper.
A total of 16 teams took part in the competition held from Nov 19 to 23 organised by Kampung Tellian’s youth members and held at the village’s multi-purpose.
The pair of Anthony Akup and Stewart Polycarp came in second while the doubles combination of Willia and Norman took the third spot.
The sponsors for the event included Felix Baising, Chai Guan Stationery and Sport Equipment and Mega Trading Bookstore.
Organising chairperson Markling Jana presented the prizes.
