KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today introduced his book detailing the justification for each transformation implemented by the government.
Najib introduced the book, which he authored, to the delegates and observers as soon as he emerged from the Dewan Merdeka after delivering his policy speech at the Umno General Assembly 2012 at the Putra World Trade Centre here.
The 249-page book entitled “Political Transformation: Empowering Basic Rights And Democractic Rule Of The People For The People”, is published by Institut Terjemahan dan Buku Malaysia (ITMB).
In the book, the prime minister explained on transformation in the political and legal system practised by the government in efforts to prepare Malaysia to become a modern, democratic and progressive nation that adopts universal values.
According to a statement from ITBM distributed to the media, the book was important in clarifying the need for a political shift through legal transformation.
The book, edited by Prof Datuk Khairil Annas Jusoh and Datuk Mazri Muhammad, is sold at RM32 in the peninsula and RM37 in Sabah and Sarawak, and is now available in the market.– Bernama
