BIBD’s Cashless Mobile Payment

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Bank Islam Brunei Darussalam (BIBD) yesterday teased its customers with a preview of its upcoming electronic mobile payment service – the first cashless mobile payment solution which will soon be available as one of the added services of the newly-launched BIBD Mobile application, Borneo Bulletin reported.

BIBD Mobile is the first mobile banking platform in Brunei to give customers access to a number of banking services through smartphones and tablets.

At the BIBD booth during the TechXpo, DR codes will be available for visitors to scan so they can directly download the BIBD Mobile application to their smart phones.

The BIBD Mobile banking platform complements BIBD Online and provides customers an easier way of accessing their accounts securely through their mobile devices.

The prominent features of BIBD Mobile include enquiry on all types of account balances, view account and credit card transaction history, simplified bill payments to all major billers in Brunei, ease of paying credit card bills and money transfers to any bank in Brunei or abroad with a few simple taps.

To provide further convenience, top-up services have also been made available, where BIBD customer can top up any DST Easi prepaid mobile or purchase Electric Service top-up round the clock.

This platform is fast, secure and simplifies the delivery of banking services to BIBD customers. To provide further convenience, existing BIBD Online customer can use their existing ID to access BIBD Mobile, where no new registration is required, and for those customers who do not have BIBD Online can register for BIBD mobile without visiting the branch.

During the TechXpo.2012 from December 1 to 4, 2012 at the International Convention Centre, BIBD will also be offering to the public, products and services such as the registration of BIBD Online with instant activation along with the token.

Visitors will also have a chance to register for BIBD Debit Cards, and a chance to instantly apply and activate their BIBD Biometric ATM registration.

At the event, BIBD will be having promotions on its BIBD Home Improvement and BIBD Rumah Plus. Visitors who participate in any of the BIBD promotions will stand a chance to win an iPhone 5 during the TechXpo.

Additionally, over the four days, BIBD will be offering a follow-up to the immensely popular Blessing Rewards Campaign – ‘BIBD Blessing Rewards 3’ where the Grand prize of the campaign, a sporty Toyota 86 will be displayed at the ICC.

Amongst the other prizes up for grabs for the BIBD Blessing Rewards 3 are holiday package for two to Melbourne, or a travel package for two to perform Umrah which includes air tickets, spending money and accommodation; a Samsung household electronics package to furnish one’s beautiful home, consisting of a Samsung refrigerator, microwave, washing machine and dryer, vacuum cleaner, a 46″ Samsung 3-D TV and to -complete it, a Samsung Home Theatre System.
