Keningau hit by second mild quake

KENINGAU: A second mild quake, with a magnitude of 1.9 was detected in Keningau, Sabah at 8.45pm yesterday, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

A statement by the department said, the quake’s epicentre was 25km northeast of Keningau and that tremors could be felt around the area.

The department is monitoring seismic activity in the said area, the statement added.

A 3.0 magnitude earthquake was detected 11 kilometres east of Keningau at 11.16am yesterday. — Bernama
