KUCHING: Relationship marketing group, MonaVie’s first distribution centre in Sarawak will be officially opened on December 7, 2012, followed by a three-day event in conjunction with the opening.

According to the person-in-charge, Johnny Chia, the distribution centre was set up to provide a positive and high-energy environment for members to learn and grow. It aimed to place emphasis beyond that of doing business, but on personal development as well.

MonaVie started out in 2005 and its products include a range of healthy, high quality beverages made from Acai berries, as well as energy drinks and weight management products. These products are aimed at ‘impacting others, not just in terms of good health, but also financially’.

The three-day event in conjunction with the opening will begin on December 7, with the opening event at its distributor’s centre followed by a ‘Star Night’ dinner at Pullman Kuching, whereby awards will be given out to outstanding members.

“The second day, December 8, we will be organising a talk by world class leaders, Steve and Gina Merritt. They will be sharing their success stories with the attendees. Entrance fee for this particular talk is RM35,” Chia explained.

On December 9, MonaVie’s ‘MORE’ project will take place at Stutong Park. “We target to have up to 100 attendees at the event. The project dedicates itself and its resources to improve the environment as well as the lives of those in poverty. The event on the day will have participants plant a tree each to help the environment.”

The distributor’s centre is located at No 83, Symphony Lane, Lorong Seng Goon 3D, 93250 Kuching. The reason it occupies a residential lot instead of a commercial one, according to Chia, was because it was trying to distance itself from an overly commercial image.

“This is a home-based business, mostly conducted through e-Commerce. As such, this distributor’s centre provides a space for members to meet, we also conduct weekly business talks in English and Chinese. We also have a specialised training room for members.”

“We are present in 23 countries and are looking at expanding into China and Indonesia soon.” For more information on the three-day event as well as MonaVie products, call 016-886 0069 (Johnny Chia).
