KUCHING: Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd (Fuji Xerox) showcases its new DocuWide 3035 which is an A0-digital multifunction device for the engineering market.

It prints and copies wide-format documents at a speed of three A0-sized pages per minute, in addition to the fact that paper drawings could be digitised.

“Besides the digital multifunction features of copying, scanning and printing, DocuWide 3035 also contributes to enhanced productivity through efficient technical drawing management, all within one device,” Fuji Xerox president Sunil Gupta said during the product launching event held yesterday.

“In industries such as the construction and civil engineering, manufacturing and facility operations at public offices, it has become easy to distribute and utilise technical information such as monochrome drawings and color drawings,” he added.

DocuWide 3035 also promotes efficient work through a concurrent function that enables it to start scanning by switching over to a scanning mode even during a continuous printing job.

The device also features a multiple transmission function which enables users to save scanned documents in shared PC folders, and to print them out from the device, or other multifunction devices and printers on the network, using the device’s control panel.

In addition, with a single scanning, the scanned document can be transmitted simultaneously to up to two PCs and five multifunction devices/printers on the network, for efficient data saving and printing.

DocuWide 3035 has a 10.4-inch colour liquid crystal display as its user interface that is easy to view and operate.

Various security functions such as ID authentication and IC Card authentication to restrict users, has also been incorporated to prevent data from being leaked externally or decrypted by third parties, said Gupta.

“This security feature is useful for printing confidential documents, encryption and overwriting functions of data accumulated in a hard disk,” he concluded.
