KUCHING: Sarawak Heart Foundation (SHF) brought smiles to many faces during a Christmas visit to the Heart Centre of Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) in Kota Samarahan near here on Thursday.
On hand to distribute festive gifts were the SHF’s Board of Trustees including Puan Sri Dato Jamilah Anu, Dato Anne Teng and Pauline Kon.
Apart from the visit, the foundation has organised seminars, exhibitions, public forum, health screening, physical campaign as part of its annual programmes to raise public awareness on heart-related diseases, said a press statement yesterday.
To date, SHF together with the Heart Foundation of Malaysia, Ministry of Health, hospitals, local government agencies and the private sector have organised similar events in major towns statewide.
The concerted efforts have benefited the various communities in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri and Sarikei.
