KUCHING: The Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) is set to reveal the new team kit in a ceremony scheduled to be held on January 2, 2013.
The event will also include the official introduction of players for the 2013 season.
This matter was revealed by FAS president Datu Sudarsono Osman during the meeting between FAS and football fan clubs yesterday.
Sudarsono, who hinted that the new kit will retained much of the same colour concept, added that the event will also saw the performance by the fan club that will perform their battle cry chants which will normally be heard during home game.
On the meeting yesterday, Sudarsono said the gathering is important for fan clubs to synchronise and to find a mutual agreement on several matters especially towards supporting the state team.
“The fans now are different compared to the previous era and we need to adapt to changes. What might seem to work before may not be applicable now and this is why we are gathering representatives from various fan clubs to express their voice and suggestions to FAS,” said Sudarsono to thesundaypost.
Sudarsono, expressed his confidence over the new team, pointing towards a stronger team and put his hope towards the aim of a quick promotion to the Super League.
“This is why we need to fans support to come to the stadium which is a useful tonic to the players. We need the fan club as well as they can be an opinion leader especially to issues pertaining to our beloved team,” he added.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Sarawak Football Fan Club (SFFC), Ultra crocs, and several groups under the Gallore Buceros, namely Crocs Attack, S3, Sayotters and GGM.
