According to SMCN director Finchley Godfrey Johniu, the event was aimed at providing an opportunity for Malaysians, particularly Sabahans, to take part in a national level modelling competition.

“The winners would be groomed into a world class model in both fashion runway and commercial print modelling,” he said.

Johniu said the competition also served as a platform for local fashion designers to showcase their creations, and for local fashion outlets to promote their products, while makeup artists, choreographers and fashion photographers can showcase their talents and creativity too.
