KOTA KINABALU: The Sessions Court here yesterday fixed Jan 24 next year for mention of a case involving a supplier company that was charged with selling unregistered drugs under Section 12 (1) of the Sale of Drugs Act 1952.
A representative from the company, Khei Fatt Hong Sdn Bhd, who appeared before deputy registrar Mohd Hafizi Bin Abdul Halim, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The charge framed under Section 12 (1) of the Sale of Drugs Act 1952 provides for a fine of not more than RM25,000, or a maximum jail term of three years, or both, upon conviction.
Khei Fatt Hong was caught selling 36 boxes of Pati Ikan Haruan Dengan Gamat (75ml x 6 bottles) at the premises of Jia
Shen Trading Sdn Bhd at Donggongon Township Phase 2, Penampang at 12.12pm on October 24 last year.
Arif Zaki of the Pharmacy Department prosecuted.
