Computers with polls info missing from Klang BN coordinator’s office

Posted on December 29, 2012, Saturday

PORT KLANG: Ten computers at the office of Klang Barisan Nasional (BN) coordinator Datuk Teh Kim Poo containing information and records for the next general election are among the items missing after the premises were broken into yesterday.

Teh said the theft was realised at 10am after his staff found that the office in Jalan Pendamar here had been broken into and ransacked.

Besides the computer units, a book with voters personal data was also missing, he said.

“I received a call from my staff this morning saying the office had been broken into. I rushed there and saw the back door had been prised open,” he said when met here.

Teh said they did not dismiss the possibility that the incident was related to a political issue as several valuable items at the office, including a television, were not stolen.

“I believe more than two suspects were involved in the incident. They may have entered my office after 1am because prior to that I and two other staff were still at the office preparing for the Sayangi Selangor

Carnival to be held at I-City in Section 7, Shah Alam, today,” he said.

A police report on the incident was lodged at the Pandamaran Police Station here.

Meanwhile, Klang Selatan Police deputy chief Supt Azman Abdul Razak confirmed receiving a report on the incident. — Bernama
