PETALING JAYA: The magistrate’s court here yesterday fined a lorry attendant RM800, in default one month’s jail, for stealing a RM2,000 smartphone from a salesman two weeks ago.
Magistrate K B Elena Hong Tze Lan passed the sentence on Mohammed Shafique, 28, after he pleaded guilty to stealing the smartphone from Ahmad Danial Abdul Wahab, 27, in front of a bank in USJ 10, Subang Jaya at 9.45pm on Dec 14.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Saphirra Selamat prosecuted while Mohammed Shafique was represented by lawyer Datuk Suraj Singh. — Bernama
