“The victim was a journalist who was discharging his duty and responsibility. What happened had raised public concern,” he told reporters at a press conference here yesterday.

Journalist Ang Kean Siang, 32, was hurt after he was assaulted by four men while covering a crime case at an apartment in Jalan Perak here, at about 1.30am.

The Guan Ming Daily journalist was hit in the face and body and had his camera damaged by the men who were unhappy with him for photographing the body of a woman, believed to have fallen from 19th floor of the apartment.
