PETALING JAYA: Two men, including the victim’s husband, were charged in the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday over the death of a flower garland seller two weeks ago.
V.Nantakumaran, 28, is charged with murdering S.Suntarambhal, 33, at Jalan PJS 5/16, Taman Desaria, Sungai Way, Selangor, at 10.15am last Dec 17.
The woman’s husband, M. Durai Raju, 36, who operates a care centre for elderly folks, is charged with abetting Nantakumaran in committing the offence at the same place and time.
However, no plea was recorded from them after the charges were read before Magistrate Surya Wati Shawal. The court set Feb 19 for mention.
Prosecution was conducted by deputy public prosecutor Wan Mohd Bukhari Wan Mohd, while lawyer Datuk Suraj Singh represented Durai Raju. Nantakumaran was unrepresented. — Bernama
