MIRI: A man in his 20’s was arrested by the police for allegedly stealing two chickens (ayam kampung) from a house in Tudan here Wednesday night.
The arrest was made at about 8.30pm, after the house owner informed the police about a man sneaking into his chicken barn and intending to steal his chickens.
According to sources, the owner heard dogs barking outside his house.
Feeling something was not right he went to check and spotted the suspect sneaking into his chicken barn.
Without the knowledge of the suspect, the owner followed him from behind then locked him inside the barn, before calling the police.
Police brought the suspect to Miri Centre Police station (CPS) to facilitate an investigation.
Police also seized two chickens (Ayam kampung), which the suspect had placed in a bag.
