SIBU: A 38-year-old man who pleaded not guilty in the magistrates’ court yesterday to a charge of setting fire to a motorcycle was ordered released on RM5,000 bail with two sureties.
Ling Lee Hoe was charged under Section 435 of the Penal Code which provides for an imprisonment term which may be extended to seven years and a possible fine.
He was alleged to have set fire to a motorcycle belonging to Mohd Suffia in Kpg Hilir at 2pm on Nov 20 last year.
Ling is to appear in court again on March 5.
