‘Leaving it to Home Ministry and AG to evaluate ‘Amanat Haji Hadi’ book’

BESUT: The Information, Communications and Culture Ministry is leaving it to the Home Ministry and Attorney-General (AG) to evaluate the ‘Amanat Haji Hadi’ book which has been reprinted since it was first published in 2002.

Its minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim said this was to see whether the book contained seditious words before deciding on the next line of action.

Speaking to reporters after looking at the woodcarving industry here yesterday, Rais said the ministry did not allow PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang to speak on his ‘amanat’ (message) over Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) as it did not want the public to be confused. — Bernama
