PENAMPANG: Two men sustained injuries when the Proton Saga car they were traveling in collided with a Toyota Hilux vehicle at Jalan Penampang, near Servay Hypermall, here early yesterday morning.
It is believed that the the Proton Saga was turning into a junction heading towards Servay Hypermall when the Toyota Hilux vehicle, which was heading for Dongonggon town from the city centre hit the side of the car around 12.45am.
Both the driver of the Proton Saga and his passenger, both 18, were also pinned in their seats, and it took the Fire and Rescue Services personnel about half an hour to free them.
They were then taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by the Sabah Civil Defence Department (JPAM) ambulance.
The driver of the Toyota Hilux, in his 30s, however escaped with minor injury.
Police were also at the scene carrying out investigation.
