KUCHING: Sarawak maintained their unbeaten run in the Premier League when they drew 0-0 with Sime Darby FC yesterday.

There was a marked shortage of good scoring chances and free-flowing football in the match as both teams decided to play defensively.

With this result, Sarawak should be grateful, owing to some good performances from Ramesh Lai Ban Huat, Azizan Saperi, Mafry Balang and Daglish Papin.

Bobby Gonzales as usual looked dangerous up front but the same could not be said for strike-partner Ivan Babic. He ended up wasting his chances.

Joseph Kalang Tie was also on form yesterday but his performance was not enough to help his teammates connect for the elusive goal.

Sarawak will next entertain league leaders PDRM here this Friday.

It will be a match that Sarawak cannot afford to slip as PDRM have shown remarkable consistency in their record of four wins in four matches so far in the league.
