SIBU: A 47-year-old man charged with drug trafficking was yesterday ordered by the magistrates’ court here to be remanded pending a chemist’s report.
The accused, surnamed Su, is to be brought to court again on Feb 25.
He faces a charge under Section 39B(1)(a) of the Dangerous Drug Act read together with Section 39B(2) of same act.
The section carries a mandatory death sentence upon conviction.
Su was arrested at 11.30pm on Jan 16 at a house at Kong Jit Khim Road.
He is alleged to have trafficked in 102.6gm of methamphetamine.
