KUALA LUMPUR: The essence of the Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto for Selangor in the 13th general election will include the aspirations and voice of the people in the state.

Selangor Umno Information chief Datuk Abdul Syukur Idrus said he was confident the manifesto would not be an empty promise but a workable plan.

He said a special committee had been established to get feedback from the people to formulate a more inclusive manifesto that reflected the demands and needs of the people in the state.

Abdul Syukur, who is the assemblyman for Kuang, said all Selangor BN elected representatives were always in their respective constituencies to serve the people.

“The Selangor BN launched the Selangor BN Service Centre (Pakar) in May last year as a speedy information dissemination channel, apart from providing a facility for the people to report their problems and complaints,” he said when interviewed in the ‘Dalam Radar’ programme aired by Bernama Radio24.

Abdul Syukur said the machineries of Umno and the other BN component parties were ready to face any challenge in the 13th general election and hoped that the people of Selangor could evaluate the efforts of the BN in the interest of the future generations. — Bernama
