His Majesty To Officiate At 8th OCS Sovereign Parade

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Defence Minister and Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), will officiate at the 8th Sovereign Parade at the Officer Cadet School (OCS) in Sg Akar today, Borneo Bulletin reported.

The ceremony marks the passing out of officer cadets from the 8th intake, who have completed their 42-week training. A total of 21 officer cadets, comprising 16 males and five females, will begin their military careers today with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).

Family and friends, alongside OCS personnel, will also witness the ceremony while the officer cadets perform precision marching drills. His Majesty will present the coveted Sword of Honour to Officer Cadet Hj Mohd Hisham Abdullah @ Pg Hj Mahrup, who topped all three aspects of training – academic, military and physical.

Meanwhile, Officer Cadet Wafa Nabilah Abdullah will receive the academic honour as the only female award recipient.

Slated for the military and physical awards are Officer Cadet (U) Muhd Saddiqin Hj Murni and Officer Cadet (L) Ak Faizul Azmizan Pg Hj Razali @ Rajali respectively.

His Majesty will present the awards in a ceremony after delivering his titah.
