BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: The Open Mic Session organised by Choices Café of The Brunei Hotel is aimed at providing a platform for talented youngsters, particularly locals, to showcase their hidden talents, Borneo Bulletin reported.
Some may have strong vocals and some are amazingly good with musical instruments. There have also been some who could sing and play the musical instrument single-handedly without the need of back-up.
The event is part of the initiatives of the hotel to attract visitors in the evenings, especially on weekends and to allow youths to be involved in healthy activities.
Choices Café began the initiative last year.
Last Saturday evening’s session saw local teenagers as young as 15 performing on stage.
They were full of confidence performing in front of their cheering and supportive family and friends. A couple of non-locals also performed that night.
