IPOH: Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said the analysis by Datuk Seri Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin on parliamentary seats held by the opposition and Barisan Nasional (BN) in each state, particularly Perak, after the 13th general election showed the opposition was now in a state of desperation.

“I would love to see that analysis which is actually reverse psychology warfare as they know Barisan Nasional is going to win.

“Let them make their assumptions as they are desperate now,” he said after his visit to the new building of the Perak Indian Chamber of Commerce, here, yesterday.

Mohammad Nizar, the Perak PAS deputy commissioner, in his Twitter page had posted the possible situation of parliamentary seats after the 13th general election, predicting that in Perak, Pakatan Rakyat would win 18 seats and BN, six.

Asked on Nizar and some other opposition leaders organising the Kayuhan Kuning 2013 event yesterday, said to be almost similar to the cycling programme initiated by the menteri besar, Zambry said: “If he wants to copy, let him.”

Zambry said the cycling programme organised by him was no ordinary programme but to know about the problems faced by the people.

“They (opposition) also want to cycle but bringing along their party flags. I am, on the other hand, not cycling to state that our party is better but to identify the problems in the areas covered such the road and drain conditions. The outcome of our cycling programme has seen more greenery in Ipoh, for instance,” he added.

Newspapers on Sunday reported that Nizar himself admitted that the 35km cycling trip for about five hours around Ipoh was to enable the public to feel their presence in the run-up to the upcoming general election. — Bernama
