BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: A local man was read a charge of causing hurt on his ex-wife in the presence of the victim who then requested to compound the case, Borneo Bulletin reported.
The charge read that Isma Buddy bin Ismail caused hurt to Dk Zahratul Hasima binti Pg Hj Hassan at their home in Jalan Meragas Tua, Muara Kern on the morning of January 30, 2010.
The victim asked to compound with conditions, however, it could not be met by the Magistrate’s Court as the victim requested for her to be able to see her children who are in the custody of the defendant under the Syariah Court order.
Acting Chief Magistrate Muhammed Faisal PD Hj Kefli then ordered the charge against the defendant compounded and, as agreed with the victim, without conditions.
The court however advised the defendant a to his future conduct.
DPP Amiriah Hj All prosecuted the case.
