BINTULU: Naim Holdings Bhd (Naim) yesterday launched Phase 1 of its Bintulu Paragon integrated development located at the Bintulu Old Airport site.

Its group managing director Datuk Hasmi Hasnan, who officiated at Naim Sales Gallery in Bintulu, said Bintulu Paragon is set to be a new landmark for Bintulu and Sarawak.

He said it will be developed in two phases which include integrating residential, business, retail and hospitality components.

Phase 1 will have a 3-storey street mall, 6-storey SOVO (Small Versatile Office) suites, condominium units and a hotel with street mall to be launched first.

Phase 2 will have a 4-storey shopping mall, two blocks of 25-storey corporate office towers, 20-storey office suites and 16-storey hotel.

As the largest lifestyle development showcasing ground-breaking architecture and Bintulu’s tallest residential tower, Bintulu Paragon sets the benchmark for Bintulu — elevating life, work and place experiences to new heights.

Located within a prime location, it is uniquely designed with a new concept for Bintulu and also Sarawak and most importantly priced affordably from RM438,888 or RM898 per square foot, which is certainly a good investment potential.

Naim is providing flexibility in terms of repayment, where initial investment can be as low as RM65,000 and buyers only pay 10 per cent to 15 per cent now with the balance to be paid upon completion through its Developer Interest Bearing Scheme.

There are also units with leaseback options and rental guarantee for investment over a limited period.

Meanwhile, the street mall which is set to be developed within three years under Phase 1 is designed to allow every unit to be as accessible as the ground floor, where business owners and shoppers can go about their business comfortably.

It is something like the Sunway Giza or even the Curve in KL, where you can expect good capital appreciation and rental income over the years.

Bintulu Paragon is dubbed the single biggest integrated development in Bintulu that will introduce multifaceted lifestyle experiences, which is the best investment of its kind.

It is a development that comes at the perfect time as more and more projects from the Sarawak Corridor of Renewable Energy (SCORE) take off.

Upon completion, it will offer 1.4 million sq ft of retail space, 240 SOVO suites, 200 office suites, 854 condominium units, two corporate office towers, one business hotel and a 5-star hotel.

In addition, Hasmi said Naim has taken into consideration the interest of the community in which it operates, and as such has a strong outreach programme.

“We connect with less fortunate members of the society, trying to assist them in ways we can,” he added.

Six schools in Bintulu yesterday received some financial contributions under the Naim Foundation.

They are SM Kai Dee, SJK Kai Ming, SJK Siong Boon, SJK Chung Hua, SJK Chung Hua 2 and SJK Sebiew Chinese.

Present to receive the donation were the management board chairman of SM Kai Dee cum SJK Kai Ming development board chairman Datuk Pui Kian Onn, SJK Siong Boon management board vice-chairman Ling Kwong Yew, SJK Chung Hua management board chairman Wong Teck Sing, SJK Chung Hua No. 2 management board chairman Major Hii Toh Him and SJK Sebiew Chinese management board vice chairman Ngu Koh Kee.

“I hope our financial contributions will be able to assist your schools as we strongly believe in giving back to society. This is from our heart, driven by our passion to make a difference in people’s lives,” said Hasmi.

Among those present were Naim’s Property Investment and Financial Services deputy chief operating officer Yong Kei Seng and other senior officers.

Meanwhile, in Sibu, the integrated development project was officially launched yesterday morning at RH Hotel by Naim Holdings Bhd chairman Datuk Amar Hamid Sepawai.

Others joining him in the launching ceremony included Naim Holdings Bhd deputy chief operating officer Leong Jee Van, deputy managing director Christina Wong Ping Eng and Sales and Marketing manager Gary Kho.

Leong expected the project to fetch good demand due to its proximity to SCORE, adding that many people were asking about the project and what benefits it would bring.

On Sibu market, Leong said it was yet to be tapped.

“Sibu people are reputed to be good investors and Bintulu Paragon is one project that would offer you the best choice,” he said.
