KUCHING: Given the choice, national tennis ace Aslina Chua is looking forward to play against world No.10 Caroline Wozniacki or former No.1 Jelena Jakovic in the main draw of this year’s BMW Malaysia Open championship which starts on Feb 25.

“I don’t mind playing with Caroline…it will be the match of a lifetime,” said the Kuching lass on whom she would love to meet in the opening match of the US$235,000 WTA event.

Aslina told The Borneo Post yesterday that she had just turned 17 last month and is set to be the youngest among the 32 participating players including defending champion, Hsieh Su-wei from Taiwan.

Her slot in the main draw was based on the wild card entry given to Malaysia as the hosting country.

She had also won last year’s BMW Malaysia’s National Circuit Women’s Open championship.

“I feel very excited about it and will definitely enjoy every minute of the game…it will be the best ever,” said Aslina as she expressed the excitement of the possible match against world class players.

At the rate she is going, Aslina would be getting the best of both worlds as she juggles to become a teenage world class tennis ace and the book worm aiming to go for the Big Apple.
