CHMS celebrates Chinese New Year

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN: Chung Hwa Middle School (CHMS) in Bandar Seri Begawan Saturday night organised their annual Chinese New Year celebration, as the Chinese community in. Brunei and the world over mark the Year of the Snake this year, held at the Darussalam Hall of the school, Borneo Bulletin reported.

Present at the event were the Chairman of the school, Tan San Leong, Board of Directors and Pehin Onn Siew Siong.

The celebrations aw many performances, all of them by students of CHMS, such as the Lion Dance; Dragon Dance, Wu Shu performance, as well as singing.

The atmosphere was full of joy and laughter as the guests, especially young children, eagerly gave red packets to the lions as it roamed around the hall, dancing to the beats of the drums and cymbals.
