Pahang fail to retake lead

KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang’s quest to retake the lead in the Super League were dashed when they lost to Lions XII 3-0 at the Jalan Besar Satdium in Singapore last night.

The neighbours are now in second spot with 12 points after six matches, just one point adrift of leaders Selangor who have 13 points. However, Lions XII have a better goal difference.

Lions XII opened accounts in the 12th minute through Faris Ramli before  Safuwan Baharudin and Fazrul Nawaz rounded off the night in style for the hosts with goals in the 64th and 76th minutes respectively.

At the Tan Sri Dato’ Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin, Johor Baharu,  Johor Darul Takzim edged T-Team 1-0 with the winning goal netted by JDT’s import striker Daniel Guiza in the 33rd minute.

At the Petaling Jaya Stadium in Kelana Jaya, Selangor PKNS defeated Felda United 3-1.

Selangor PKNS captain Helmi Rameli put the hosts ahead in the 28th minute but Felda United’s import striker Mohammed Mahmoud Ghaddar neutralised the advantage when he levelled the score in the 33rd minute. — Bernama
