Sarawak v NS Betaria

KUCHING: Sarawak looks set to miss the services of their two import players as they take on NS Betaria away at Stadium Hang Tuah, Melaka today.

Speaking to The Borneo Post yesterday, Sarawak head coach Robert Alberts revealed that Croatian Ivan Babic had not traveled with the team to Melaka yesterday.

“He is still feeling some pain and we need him to rest and recuperate for the next home match against Johor. It is an important match for us,” said Alberts.

Cameroonian Guy Bwele is also doubtful for today’s clash but Alberts added that he might  rush him in at the last minute depending on his condition during practice.

Despite these worries, Alberts felt that there was no need for the team or fans to push the panic button as the team has adequate back-up.

“We have players who can fill in for their absence. All we need to do is to focus on getting the three points against NS Betaria,” he added.

Alberts opined that if Sarawak played like they did against PDRM last Friday, they should go home with full points.

Sarawak remain unbeaten in the Premier League after winning four and drawing two matches so far.

NS Betaria, on the other hand, is looking to bounce back from their humiliating 6-0 thrashing by KL Sime Darby FC last week.

The Sarawak versus NS Betaria match kicks off at 4.45pm.
