TAWAU: A social activist, Datuk Chin Chee Syn yesterday donated a wheelchair to a 64-year-old disabled elder, who is suffering from kidney disease, diabetes and other chronic diseases, at Kg Merotai here.
As the ailing elder was not financially capable to afford a wheelchair, Chin took humanitarian action, after receiving a call from the family, to donate a wheelchair to him, and hoped the use of the wheelchair would help improve the elder’s daily life by being able to move around and outside his house.
“I hope the disabled elder can now enjoy his leisure time outside the house with his beloved wife, close to nature and getting fresh air for a healthy life,” Chin added.
Chin reiterated that he will continue to serve the community and help the needy especially at Merotai whenever and wherever possible and called on the government and local leaders to increase their efforts to help the people especially in the rural areas.
