PENAMPANG: A foreign man was found dead, believed murdered, during a drinking session at Kampung Hungab here yesterday morning.

The body of Dany Lutian, 28, an IMM13 holder, was found in a pool of blood with body injuries at a premises where he was drinking, by villagers around 4am.

It is said that the victim was having a drink with a neighbour when they were involved in an argument.

Villagers who found the victim’s body lying on the floor immediately informed the police who came to carry out investigation.

District deputy police chief Superintendent Wan Bahrul Hisham said investigation had led police to detain a 42-year-old man in Dongonggon town around 6am the same day to assist police in their investigation.

He said the victim’s body had been taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for a post-mortem.

He also urged anyone with information on the case to come forward to assist police in their investigation.

The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
