MELBOURNE: The Elizabeth Magistrate’s Court in Adelaide yesterday convicted a Malaysian doctor on two counts of sexual assaults on his female patients in South Australia.

Magistrate Greg Fisher sentenced Dr Mohd Zaki Ibrahim, 37, to eight months jail, suspended for two years and placed him on a good behaviour bond, a court official told Bernama.

The court was told Mohd Zaki committed the offences on March 31 and July 16, 2010.

Mohd Zaki, a Public Service Department scholar, is believed to have worked at a rural town in South Australia before moving to the Adelaide suburb of Elizabeth with his family. — Bernama
