KUCHING: Naza Euro Motors, a subsidiary of the Naza Group of Companies (Naza Group), is set to unveil the highly anticipated Citroen DS5 and DS4 on February 26.

The Citroen DS5 and DS4 would be the first models to be launched by Naza Euro Motors following its appointment as the official distributor for Citroen in Malaysia in January.

In a press release, Naza Euro Motors said that the launch of the two models would coincide with the launch of its maiden 3S (sales, service and spare parts) outlet, Citroen Glenmarie.

“The Citroen DS5 and DS4 embody Citroen’s ‘Creative Technologie’ tagline and will herald a new chapter for the Citroen brand in Malaysia.

“Both these cars evoke expertise, style and technology inscribed with the DNA of innovation and distinction,” said Naza Group joint group executive chairman SM Nasarudin SM Nasimuddin.

The DS line was introduced by Citroen in 2010 with the aim of introducing distinctive models with ground breaking design built on the two pillars of the brand’s tagline – creativity and technology.

The Citroen DS5, which was named ‘Family Car of the Year’ by the UK’s Top Gear magazine, is expected to make waves in the premium segment. It features an aerodynamic silhouette that is bold and assertive accentuated by the very best of Citroen’s styling expertise.

The DS5’s unique cabin features an aerospace-inspired design and styling including a cockpit designed driving position as well as aircraft-styled overhead controls.

Under the hood, the Citroen DS5 is powered by a 1.6-litre twin-scroll turbo high-pressure engine that delivers 156hp and 240Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.

The Citroen DS4, which was named as the ‘Most Beautiful Car of the Year’ at the Auto Bild 2011 Design Award, features a unique style with consummately worked lines and a sculptural and curvaceous body.

The car’s raised suspension, concealed rear doors, stretched lines and a sculpted silhouette portray a distinctive architecture that is guaranteed to turn heads.
