LABUAN: Thirty police officers and personnel carried out a one-day patrol at 11 villages and visited village chiefs as part of their high profile policing.

A police spokesperson yesterday said those involved were divided into two groups with one group led by the deputy police chief DSP Douglas Taong and the other by district traffic chief ASP Sammy Newton.

The villages they visited were Lubok Temiang, Lajau, Tanjung Aru, Merinding, Bukit Kuda, Durian Tunjung, Pantai, Pohon Batu, Batu Manikar and Ganggarak.

Meanwhile, Labuan police chief Superintendent Adzhar Othman distributed goodies and pamphlets about crime prevention to members of the public around Hap Huat Supermarket here.

At the end of the high profile policing, the police then gathered at the community hall of Bukit Kuda to have a dialogue session with the village chiefs and the chiefs of Safe Patrol Scheme.
