KUCHING: Korean restaurant, Seoul Garden has launched two new meat menu sets to cater for fans of Korean dishes who are also conscious of their health.

Hailing from South Korea, restaurant proprietor, Steven Lee said in conjunction with the new year that Seoul Garden was offering two new healthy set menus named Crystal Grill Pork Belly and Pork Trotters.

Crystal Grill Pork Belly is a healthy meat menu where the meat, grilled on a crystal slab tilted slightly on top of a mini gas stove, would have little to no amount of excess oil as the crystal slab did not need oil for lubrication.

Additionally, Lee said, “This set menu is large in size and also comprises Kimchi soup, rice and various side dishes. This menu is also enough for three to four persons.”

As for the preparation of the Pork Trotters, he explained, the meat was boiled for two hours in a special concoction of herbs to reduce the amount of fat and enhance the collagen level in the meat.

Lee outlined optimistically, “As we all know, collagen is good for the skin and also healthy for the body. Ladies usually love this.”

The trotters set meal catered for three to five persons and would also comprise of additional side dishes such as Kimchi Ramen, Lee said.

He further emphasised, the trotters would require at least two days of preparation. Therefore, customers are advised to book reservations two days prior to dining at the restaurant.

Lee also said, in conjunction with the launch of the new menu, there would be a 30 per cent discount on both meal sets, from approximately RM110 (actual price) to RM78 per set.

The promotion period is for a month, starting today until March 31.

On the other hand, Lee noted, Seoul Garden also offered membership services, where customers could apply as a member to the restaurant and be eligible to collect and redeem points.
